Your Hosts

Salutations! We are a warm and welcoming husband-and-wife duo who share a passion for hosting guests in our three cherished homes – a cozy mountain retreat nestled in the breathtaking North Carolina mountains, a ski cabin in the Sunday River area of Maine and a sun-soaked beach house along the St. Augustine, Florida coastline. Our love for travel and adventure has led us to create these comfortable and inviting spaces where we can share our slice of paradise with fellow wanderers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you allow pets?

We’re dog lovers ourselves, so your furry friends are welcome at all of our properties! We allow up to two dogs per stay, with a pet fee of $150. Please note that we’re unable to accommodate cats or other animals due to allergy concerns. Thanks for understanding!

What are you check-in and check-out times?

Our check-in starts at 4pm and check-out at 10am. To ensure that we have enough time to clean the property we ask you not to extend these times. Please reach out to us at lauren@thewildhost.com to see if we are able to make any special accommodations. Depending on availability, we may have options available.

Is parking available on-site?

Yes, we offer on-site parking facilities, making it convenient and hassle-free for you to park your vehicle and have peace of mind throughout your vacation. No need to worry about finding a parking spot! Please note that our St. Augustine property has a maximum of three parking spaces in the driveway.

What amenities are provided in the rental?

We’ve stocked our homes with everything you need for a comfortable stay—fully equipped kitchens, including spice racks, zip loc bags, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, coffee and tea supplies. As well hot tub and pool towels, toiletries, detergents, paper goods. As parents and group travelers ourselves, we know the value of traveling light. Check the listing or reach out for details!

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change, and we have a flexible cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your reservation, you can receive a full refund if you cancel thirty-days before your scheduled arrival. If cancelation within 14-days before scheduled arrival, a partial refund may be available. Please contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist you with the cancellation process.

The location of this beach house was perfect! We had access to the ocean and Matanzas river on both sides of the house. Just for enough away from the busy Saint Augustine for the peace we were looking for and close enough to enjoy downtown Saint Augustine on a short drive. The house and amenities Give us activities to keep everyone busy and continuously having fun! Thank you Lauren for sharing your property with us and look forward to a longer vacation in the future!
